On May 21, 2026, Alison, the project’s Alexander von Humboldt fellow, held a talk at the University of Wuppertal. It surveyed innovative critical and theoretical perspectives across digital humanities, postcolonial studies and Hispanic studies through which to examine a growing corpus of self-referential and autobiographic production by contemporary Black artists, authors and thinkers in 21st century Spain.
