Why Afro-European Studies? Building an Emerging Field within Global Black Studies

Julia and Nelson will participate as panelists in a roundtable discussion on the topic of “Why Afro-European Studies? Building an Emerging Field within Global Black Studies” to present the AFROEUROPECYBERSPACE project and to reflect on the need to establish the field of Afreuropean digital diaspora studies, as well as the contribution of a literary and cultural studies perspective to digital media studies. This round table, organized by Ana León-Távora (Salem College), is part of the official program of the “Next Century of Black Studies” conference at Schomburg Center in New York City.
