The doctoral fellow of the ERC project, Andrea Rueda Herrera (U Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla) presented her current research on Afrodescendant communities in Gibraleón, Spain, in the context of the WOC Agora series at U Bremen.
In July 2024, Julia presented the ERC project AFROEUROPECYBERSPACE as an invited speaker in the context of the Research Seminar of the ZeMKI (Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research) of U Bremen.

This talk by Odome Angone (Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar) and María Ignacia Schulz (International University of La Rioja), both specialists in literature and activismo afro in the Spanish-speaking world, revolved around the issue of the growing visibility of African and Afrodescendant writers, artists and activists from Spain on the internet.
